Introducing Unseen Battles
For women in tech, the path to success can confusing and challenging. What should be my brand? What opportunities should I go after? Should I push back on my manager? Should I stay or leave? What if I make the wrong decision? The times when I have faced these challenges have been stressful, infuriating but also lonely. I have often wondered how other success people know what the right answers are. As I have talked to them - my co-workers, friends and mentors, I have realized that they don’t know the answer either. They do their best. Even though we often feel alone in our struggles and failures, fear and ambivalence are universal experiences. Every successful person, every successful career is built on a series of such unseen battles.
Every two weeks, I will bring you stories from from interesting, smart, successful people about an unseen battle in their career. The challenges they have faced where they were unsure about to do - dealing with rejection, working with difficult managers, being a working mom, being an immigrant - whatever their struggle has been. And you will hear a raw, honest conversation about this struggle - their motivation, fears and learnings. Tune in for you bi-weekly dose of hope and inspiration.
